Hello! I thought it would be prudent to share a bit about myself and my "favorite things." Using this space as a way to share my creative endeavors, I took the time to break down some of the influences in my life.
In the past year alone, I have been able to travel to some pretty incredible places. In January I ventured to Israel with Birthright Israel (Shorashim) where I strengthened my Jewish identity and explored the impact of Judaism in my life. I met so many individuals who I now call dear friends. Earlier this summer, I traveled westward to Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Nevada. Visiting all the National Parks, monuments, and museums was an unforgettable experience. Exploring is one of my most favorite activities. I love learning about new cultures and meeting new people. After all, memories are the best souvenirs!
All the Renaissance/Ethereal Vibes
I love the feeling and overall mood of Renaissance art and courtly fashion. The intricate beauty of every paint stroke and stitch is ethereal and heavenly. I would love nothing more than to become a living embodiment of a Renaissance painting complete with a flowing dress and flower crown. Florence Welch is the modern day example of this, which is why she is also one of my favorite artists!
I can never have enough flowers. It is such a shame that I have yet to acquire a "green thumb." But at least I can enjoy the fruits (read: flowers) of other peoples' labor.
My journey with macrame started last year, but I have grown to love it fiercely! There is no greater enjoyment than seeing a pile full of tangled rope become a useable object. All of these items below are for sale in my shop as well!
Overall, this list is just a little compilation and brainstorming session to share some of the things that are most dear to me. Being able to share this and write it out will hopefully give you all a better idea of who I am and give myself an idea of the elements that influence my art and life.
